Annlydie Groenen

Annlydie Groenen (1984, Belgium) received her education at the Centre of Dance ‘Osmose’ and the School of Dance ‘Yantra’ in Brussels. In 1999 she received first prize for both the classic, contemporary as well as the jazz category of the International Competition in Belgium. From 1999 till 2004 Annlydie was a member of ‘Company In Principae’ where she toured through France, Greece and Marocco. Here she performed a large number of contemporary as well as (neo-) classical (pointe) works from choreographers such as Grazielle Gillebertus, Natalie Eberhart and Agnes Thore to mention a few. In 2006/2007 Annlydie received her apprenticeship at the ‘Cobosmika Company’ in Spain and graduated in 2008 at the Codarts Performing Department where she performed work of choreographers such as Michael Schumacher, William Forsythe and Nacho Duato. In the beginning of 2009 Annlydie Groenen joined Samadhi Dance Company and has performed in ‘Vizve’ (2009), a preview of ‘Mohini’ (2009), ‘Bho’ (2009/2010), the award-winning ‘Saranágati’ (2011) and the latest addition to the Samadhi Repertoire ‘Mohini’ (2012).
